Remainder Interests in Property
A Gift That Gives While You Continue to Live
A remainder interest in property gift allows you to donate your personal residence, farm, vacation home, or similar property to the Catholic Legacy Foundation of Acadiana while retaining the right to live in or use it for the rest of your life.
Remainder Interests in Property
A remainder interest in property gift allows you to donate your personal residence, farm, vacation home, or similar property to the Catholic Legacy Foundation of Acadiana while retaining the right to live in or use it for the rest of your life. Also known as a Life Estate Reserved, this unique arrangement lets you maintain full use and control of the property during your lifetime, while ensuring its eventual transfer supports Catholic parishes, schools, and ministries. By donating remainder interests in property, you can:
- Continue to enjoy the property during your lifetime
- Receive a charitable tax deduction based on the value of the remainder interest
- Reduce estate taxes and other ownership costs
- Create a
Catholic
legacy that provides critical resources for ministries
How it Works
